The trays are simple to use, because you just squirt some of the whitening gel in the tray and insert it into your mouth for the designated amount of time.
Finally, you may have heard of the whitening pens. These really do look like pens, and many people prefer these because they can take the pens just about anywhere they go and whiten at any time of the day. These basically work by painting a whitening gel onto the teeth, and it goes to work doing its job while you sit at your desk doing your own job, making these a very convenient choice.
